Meet Sarah

Dr Mitchell is a fully certified Gynaecologist and is currently in the final stages of obtaining her Fertility Specialist accreditation with Monash IVF.

Dr Mitchell is a gynaecologist, obstetrician, and fertility specialist, known for her kind and empathic nature. Her special interests include endometriosis and pelvic pain, advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery, and fertility issues. Her other areas of interest include abnormal periods, fibroids and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Dr Mitchell is especially invested in helping people become parents. She holds a master’s degree in reproductive medicine and infertility and is proud to partner with Monash IVF to offer assisted reproductive services.

After graduating from medical school at The University of Melbourne, Dr Mitchell undertook her core specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. She then returned home to Queensland for 2 years of additional training in advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery at Gold Coast University Hospital with some of the best advanced gynaecological surgeons in Queensland.

Dr Mitchell believes that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to medicine, and she is passionate about providing individualised and holistic care.
