Meet Sam

Dr Sam Sturrock is an Australian-trained Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with qualifications including MBBS and FRANZCOG. He completed his medical degree at Monash University, followed by specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training through Monash Health, where he gained extensive experience in high- and low-risk obstetrics, early pregnancy care and the management of complex gynaecological conditions.

He went on to complete a Fellowship in Fertility and Reproductive Endocrinology through Monash IVF and Monash Health, developing advanced training in fertility assessment, reproductive hormone disorders, sub-fertility and early pregnancy complications.

Dr Sturrock has also undertaken additional training in advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery in Ballarat, focusing on conditions that commonly affect fertility such as endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroids. His background reflects a combination of tertiary hospital experience and regional surgical expertise, supporting a comprehensive approach to reproductive and fertility care.

Dr Sam Sturrock focuses on infertility assessment and treatment for both female- and male-factor causes, including ovulatory disorders, tubal disease, endometriosis and sperm-related issues. He has a strong interest in reproductive endocrinology, early pregnancy complications and recurrent miscarriage, as well as laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, fibroids and other structural causes of infertility. Within the Monash IVF program he is involved in pathways such as ovulation induction, IUI, IVF and fertility preservation.
