Clinical Director - Monash IVF Geelong

Dr Prue Johnstone is a Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with over 15 years’ experience in the field of reproductive medicine.

Born, raised and schooled in Geelong, Prue continues to live locally with her family and is passionate about providing a comprehensive fertility service for the local community and surrounding areas.

Dr Johnstone obtained her medical degree from Monash University with honours and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women. She then went on to complete her fellowship in reproductive medicine at the Mercy and Monash IVF, followed by a Masters of Reproductive Medicine through the University of New South Wales. Dr Johnstone holds a public appointment at University Hospital Geelong providing public Obstetrics and Gynaecological care. She consults privately at Monash IVF and is the clinical director of Monash IVF Geelong. She also enjoys teaching and mentoring Deakin University medical students and Barwon Health registrars in her specialist field.

Dr Johnstone is passionate about all aspects of fertility and IVF. She has a special interest in management of female and male infertility, social infertility, PCOS and recurrent miscarriage, as well as diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy. Dedicated to achieving successful health outcomes for her patients, Dr Johnstone’s approach to care is characterised by her empathy and personalised commitment to individualised care and support throughout her patient's fertility journey.
