Dr Anthony Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biochemistry followed by an MBBS (Hons) from Monash University. He also holds the fellowships MRCOG and FRANZCOG, reflecting specialist status in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He commenced his specialist training at Queen Victoria Medical Centre Melbourne, followed by two and a half years of advanced training in the United Kingdom (Salisbury and Plymouth) before his Senior Registrar year at Monash Medical Centre.

Dr Lawrence has been practising as a fertility-focused clinician for over 20 years, working with the Monash IVF network and contributing to the clinical application of assisted reproductive technologies (ART). His advanced surgical expertise includes laparoscopic management of severe endometriosis, fibroids, polyps and other benign gynaecological conditions that can impact fertility.

Dr Anthony Lawrence’s subspecialty interests within fertility treatment include endometriosis-related infertility, fibroids and uterine structural abnormalities, tubal disease, recurrent miscarriage and unexplained infertility. He has particular expertise in laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis, fibroids and polyps when these are contributing to subfertility, and provides comprehensive fertility assessment leading to treatment pathways such as ovulation induction, IUI and IVF. He also supports patients considering fertility preservation or planning pregnancy later in life.
