Dr Travis Rule

Dr Travis Rule is a fully certified Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and is currently in the final stages of obtaining his Fertility Specialist accreditation with Monash IVF.

As a father to two young children, Dr Travis Rule understands just how unique every pregnancy journey can be – and the importance of having a friendly and trusted support network around you.

Travis is passionate about providing expert care that is holistic in its approach. He is supportive and empathetic toward his patients, empowering them in making informed decisions about their health and well-being.

A dedicated Gynaecologist, Obstetrician, and Fertility Specialist, Travis has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic gynaecology surgery, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and fertility.

Travis has completed extensive training in minimally invasive surgery – having completed an AGES fellowship, he now holds the highest level of accreditation (RANZCOG/AGES Level 6) in Advanced Laparoscopic Gynaecological Surgery in Australia. Through his training, he has developed specialist skills in complex pelvic surgery including advanced endometriosis, complex laparoscopic hysterectomies, ovarian cysts, and minimally invasive fibroid surgery. Travis completed his fellowship at Mater Mother's Hospital in Brisbane – Australia’s largest maternity network – supporting women and their families through high-risk and complex pregnancies.

Travis takes pride in working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide an informed and collaborative approach to caring for his patients.

Travis has an ongoing role in teaching and is a senior lecturer at UQ. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications, frequently presents at conferences, and is a regular reviewer for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is a strong advocate for women’s health having completed a Masters in Global Health and having many experiences volunteering abroad.
