Meet Tania

Dr. Widmer is a highly experienced female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist on the Gold Coast. She was born in Switzerland and migrated to South Africa in her teens.

After completing her medical and specialist degrees in Cape Town, Dr. Widmer commenced work at the Mater Mothers Hospital in Brisbane in 2008. In 2010, Dr. Widmer relocated to the Gold Coast and commenced her private practice providing obstetric care, gynaecology care as well as fertility assessment and management.

Dr. Widmer is one of four founding directors of Grace Private for Women, the only all-female boutique private practice on the Gold Coast, offering a welcoming, warm and friendly environment for all. Dr. Widmer provides holistic and inclusive care for women and their families and is proud to be able to deliver individualized fertility assistance with the expert team at Monash IVF.

Her interests range from optimizing women’s health prior to pregnancy through to investigations and management if there is a delay in conception – including treating uterine factors, endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome. High level fertility management (IVF/ICSI) may not always be required and Dr. Widmer ensures all suitable avenues for a successful outcome are explored. Her open and friendly communication results in individuals and families feeling at ease and confident with the treatment path that is chosen.
