Dr Sarah Rylance
Dr Rylance is a deeply compassionate and dedicated Fertility Specialist, Obstetrician, and Gynaecologist, committed to providing patient-centred care with empathy and understanding. She completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia in 2006 and went on to complete her initial specialist training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, followed by advanced training at King Edward Memorial Hospital. Dr Rylance is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and has completed a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Additionally, she holds a Master’s Degree in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility.
Having grown up in regional WA, Dr Rylance knows the challenges faced by patients tyring to access quality health care services or manage their care outside of capital cities. As such she is dedicated to working closely with her patients and local allied health professionals to provide comprehensive, compassionate care, ensuring all her patients receive the support and expertise they deserve regardless of where they live throughout Western Australia.
As a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Dr Rylance is dedicated to both patient care and education. She is actively involved in teaching, clinical work, and research, while also leading high-risk clinical care as the Obstetric Lead for Diabetes in Pregnancy. Dr Rylance is committed to guiding and supporting her patients through their unique pregnancy journeys with the utmost care and expertise.
Her role as the Perinatal Loss Lead at Fiona Stanley Hospital reflects her profound compassion for families navigating the difficult moments of their fertility journey. Dr Rylance approaches each patient with sensitivity, respect, and a deep commitment to ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
Outside of her professional life, Dr Rylance is married and a proud mother of two who enjoys spending quality time with her family and exploring the beautiful outdoors of Perth.
