Meet Katie

Dr Taylor is a fully certified Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and is currently in the final stages of obtaining her Fertility Specialist accreditation with Monash IVF.

Dr Taylor is a Queensland trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Following Medical School Dr Taylor decided to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology after seeing the difference she could make in women’s lives. She therefore went on to train at UQ, Ipswich Hospital, Royal Women's Hospital, Gold Coast Hospital and the Flying O&G Service.

Regularly attending surgical audits, case review meetings and conferences to ensure her knowledge and skills are up-to-date, Dr Taylor chose to work in Ipswich.

Dr Taylor has particular interest in the management of:

• Infertility
• Menstrual disorders
• Pelvic pain disorders
• Menopausal problems
• Endometriosis
• Contraception - including Implanon, Kyleena and Mirena
• Medical disorders in pregnancy
• High and low risk obstetrics
• Diabetes in pregnancy (both pre-existing type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and also gestational diabetes)
• Laparoscopic surgery

Dr Taylor decided to start her own private practice, Milestone Medical with a desire to provide up-to-date and personalised, practical medical and surgical options for her patients.
