Meet Emma

Dr Emma Clifton is a specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist providing care to patients in Bendigo.

Emma has a calm approach and is passionate about providing the highest standard of care to her patients from initial gynaecological consultation, all the way to fertility treatment, pregnancy, birth and beyond.

"I believe that everyone has the right to decide if and when they have children and to access high quality health care and support, regardless of their sexuality, ethnicity or gender identity. I am a supporter of the LGBTQI+ community and welcome all patients to my practice."

Having grown up in Bendigo, Emma remains committed to providing regional Victoria with high-quality care and an evidence-cased service.

Emma completed her medical degree at Flinders University, Adelaide and returned to Victoria to undertake specialty Obstetrics and Gynaecology training. She has worked at Mercy Hospital for Women and Northern Health in Melbourne, as well as North East Health Wangaratta and Ballarat Health Services, before completing her specialist training in Bendigo. She undertook a Fellowship with Monash IVF to specialise in infertility and reproductive health.

Alongside her fertility practice Emma currently works at Bendigo Health, where she is involved in the training of medical students, junior doctors and future Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She also holds appointments at Bendigo Health, St John of God Bendigo, Bendigo Day Procedure, Castlemaine Health and Echuca Regional Health Services.
