Dr Ashleigh Smith
Dr Ashleigh Smith is a fully qualified Gynaecologist, Obstetrician and Fertility Specialist. She is completing her final year of Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) training with Monash IVF.
Dr Ashleigh Smith is a compassionate fertility specialist who believes that building a family is one of life’s most profound journeys. She is driven by a strong commitment to helping individuals and couples achieve the family they hope for, while also reducing the risk of pregnancy loss through evidence-based care.
Ashleigh’s clinical interests include endometriosis, fibroids and male infertility, with a particular research focus on optimising sperm selection for IVF/ICSI and preventing pregnancy loss. She approaches fertility care with a holistic mindset, recognising that physical health and emotional wellbeing are deeply interconnected. Ashleigh believes that informed, shared decision-making empowers patients to keep moving forward on their path to parenthood.
Currently completing her final year of CREI training, Ashleigh has extensive experience in tertiary obstetrics and gynaecology, having worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Originally from Toowoomba, she now practices at Eve Health in Spring Hill. Ashleigh is known for her warm, thoughtful and highly engaged approach to patient care.
Beyond her clinical work, Ashleigh is the founder of The Glimmer Project, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting families after pregnancy loss and advancing research into pregnancy-loss prevention. She has also contributed to the development of the 2025 RANZCOG clinical guideline for miscarriage, recurrent miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, and has spoken at numerous national and international medical conferences on fertility and pregnancy-related topics.
Outside of medicine, Ashleigh enjoys baking with her daughters, playing tennis, gardening, meditating, and nurturing deep and joyful connections. She believes in living a fulfilling, courageous life. These values strongly shape her philosophy toward patient care and life in general.
Her guiding message to patients is simple and powerful: You are not alone. Just keep going.

“What I love most about my role is helping people achieve what once felt impossible. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a baby placed into the arms of loving parents who never thought that moment would come. I’m deeply motivated to embolden individuals and couples with knowledge, science and encouragement to persevere and achieve the family they desire.”
