Meet Andreas

Dr Andreas Laut is a highly experienced Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist with over 30 years of expertise in women’s health. He has recently joined the Monash IVF team to provide fertility treatment locally in Bundaberg.

Andreas has had the opportunity to study and practice in different parts of the world, including Germany, Fiji, United Kingdom, United States of America and Australia. He studied at the University of Hamburg, Germany, where he was awarded his PhD. He then went on to complete further studies at the University of Sydney, Australia the University of the South Pacific, Fiji before graduating from the University of Berlin, Germany with Honors.

After initially working as a general surgeon, Andreas completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Berlin. After 10 years working in Berlin, he moved together with his wife and their four children to the United Kingdom where he worked for another 12 years in England and Scotland before returning to Australia. In addition to his work as a Generalist, he was significantly involved in training and teaching junior doctors and medical students.

He is a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG), along with reciprocal memberships to the German and British colleges too.

With a deep understanding of the complexities of women’s health, Andreas is committed to providing compassionate, personalised care. He takes a supportive approach, ensuring his patients feel empowered to make informed decisions.
