Professor Rombauts treats all causes of male and female infertility in a holistic way.
He offers microsurgery for tubal ligation and vasectomy reversals. He also has a special interest in PCOS and advanced laparoscopic techniques, in particular the management of severe endometriosis.
Prof Luk Rombauts provides personalised care at his consulting rooms in Richmond and Clayton. He operates at the Epworth Hospital (Richmond), Monash IVF Cremorne, and Monash Surgical Private Hospital (Clayton). Working with Monash IVF, Luk offers IVF procedures and is one of Melbourne's IVF leading Fertility Specialists.
Prof Rombauts obtained his Certificate of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) in 1998 and is now accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists as a training supervisor for the CREI.
Prof Rombauts is the Medical Director of Monash IVF Group and chairs the Group Medical Advisory Committee. He holds an appointment as Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University. He is also a Research Fellow of the Hudson Institute of Medical Research, where he is conducting research funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council in the fields of endometriosis and embryo implantation.
Prof Rombauts is the Past President of the Fertility Society of Australia and Past President-elect of the World Endometriosis Society. He is a past board member of the RANZCOG Research Foundation.
He has published several books and over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has served as an Associate Editor for Human Reproduction, the highest-ranking journal publishing original research in the field of reproductive medicine.
