Patient Resources – New South Wales

This Patient Resources page has been designed to provide information for patients that can be referred back to at any time throughout your treatment in NSW.

Undergoing IVF and related treatment is complex; there is a lot of information that a patient needs to understand and this can be overwhelming. This page includes information about:

  • Fertility treatment cycles
  • Treatment costs and relevant financial information
  • Preimplantation Genetic Testing
  • The World Egg Bank
  • Medication Demonstrations

If you feel, due to any language barriers, that you would benefit from having an interpreter present to assist you with any of your appointments and further understanding of the treatment you will be undergoing, then we suggest you contact ‘The Language Services Division’ of the Community Relations Commission. This is a government body which can offer assistance in over 100 languages and dialects. You can either call 1300 651 500 or view their website for further information: https://www.crc.nsw.gov.au/services/language_services

Alternatively you can contact Monash IVF and speak with a team member who will guide you through the process of engaging an interpreter. Please note that if you decide to use this service it must be booked in advance and must be coordinated to work in with your appointment times. This is not necessarily a free service and fees may apply accordingly.

Treatment Cycle Information

At the commencement of your treatment, you will be notified about these resources and provided with a password. The videos cover information that will be provided to you at your nurse interview and we encourage you to watch in advance and note down any questions you may have that you can then discuss with your IVF Nurse. You are able to watch the video as many times as you wish.

Treatment Cost Information

This video runs through information that will be discussed at your finance interview and is specific for New South Wales patients. We encourage you to watch in advance of your finance interview and note down any question you may have that you can then discuss with our finance team.
