Dr Jinny Foo obtained her medical degree at the University of Newcastle. She is trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as part of the South Eastern Sydney Health network. Dr Foo has worked across NSW in various hospitals, providing her with a comprehensive background in all areas of her specialty. She has several years of sub-specialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, allowing her to give patients a complete approach to fertility care. She is working towards her Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility which is the highest recognised qualification for fertility specialists in Australia & New Zealand.
Dr Foo is extensively involved in the teaching and examining of medical students as a conjoint associate lecturer at the University of New South Wales. In addition, she continues to be involved with research having received multiple grants and written several research papers which have been published in international peer reviewed journals. She was the recipient of the best presentation for an obstetric medicine paper at the Society of Obstetric Medicine meeting in Australia in 2011 and was the recipient of the Ferring REI (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility) Clinician Establishment Award in 2017.
Dr Foo has a special interest in fertility preservation and treating those undergoing cancer treatment who may require fertility options in the future. She is caring and compassionate towards her patients and supportive during difficult times. Dr Foo is fluent in both Mandarin and English.
Dr Foo performs fertility related procedures at Monash IVF. She is a Gynaecological surgeon at the Hospital for Specialist Surgery and Westmead Private Hospital. She also practices Obstetrics at Westmead Private Hospital and is a Visiting Medical Officer in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead.
